I am teaching elementary and middle school students in a small office. Today, a parent visited my classroom, expressing regret that she couldn't afford to send all four of her children to academies. I decided to teach two of them but charge only one tuition fee. It felt good and rewarding to help her and the children.

Today, I checked with my friend having a difficult time after his meeting that my actions precipitated. He appears to be doing okay. I need to work on my own life, however, and this helped confirm that I cannot extend further than my situation allows.

I helped my old friend a little this week. I rechecked today that this was going okay while being careful not to burden the person who is helping now, also.

I called my 90-year-old aunt in Korea. Although I didn't get a chance to speak with her right away, she always assured me later on. Her positive outlook allows her to maintain a relatively healthy lifestyle till the end of her life. She is a practitioner by nature.
