12/18Brian HerseyI try to engage with my community in organizing with neighbors and in small ways too. Today when ordering food I listened to a woman who needed to vent about her job, she sounded like she just needed someone to hear her story
-
12/18Jiyoung ChangI showed appreciation to those who pick up trash bins in our neighborhood
-
12/18Eunji Hong_홍은지 _137701I enjoyed Vietnamese restaurant near where I’m staying, and I tipped little more generously. She looked happy, and seeing her being happy made me happy too.
-
12/17Michael RouseI am finding solace, growth, challenges, and connection with Jungto/Pomnyum/Buddhism 1 and dharma talks, but I don’t feel the same way about engaging with programs or ideas of social justice. I am very concerned about community and social justice, but just not inspired(?) in this particular way at this time.
-
12/17Wai Ping ChanWe showed appreciation towards our drivers during the trip and appreciated their patience during the jam.
-
12/16Jeff KimI attended the funeral of a distant acquaintance. I usually dislike going to these events as it makes me very uncomfortable. However, it felt very good to support his family who we’re suffering
-
12/16Dan TruongI read and provided feedback on the creative work of two of my colleagues.
-
12/16Bobby HernandezI donated to my local public television station.
-
12/16성애 서I donated my birthday gift money to JTS.
-
12/16May ChowOld pain and long-held resentments surfaced today … the kind that once would have completely crippled me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I paused. Took a few 5 minute moments to breathe and settle my body. I reminded myself this is not the suffering I want my children to witness or inherit. What was arising was an attached story from the past, not the present.
