When you open your eyes in the morning, say a prayer of gratitude for being alive: “I am alive.”

If you go to a Buddhist temple, say, “Thank you, Buddha.”

If you go to church, say, “Thank you, God.”

If you don’t follow a religion, then thank your ancestors

The harder your life is, the more you should say a prayer of gratitude. This will enable you to gain mental security, brighten up your outlook only to discover that people treat you more kindly.

Just like water bubbling up from a spring, if you say a prayer giving thanks that you are alive and that you are blessed, you will have more things to be thankful for.
