01/19Cecilia in LAI buy and use washing machine sheets rather than liquid detergent. It saves on manufacturing, shipping, and it works great! I figure it helps with CO2 emissions as I get many sheets in an envelope rather than a bulky container. https://www.earthbreeze.com/products/earthbreeze-ecosheets-laundry-detergent

01/19Jimmy TI always do the following, not just today: ride the bus and train to work, recycle my garbage such as metal, tin, aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard, electronic waste, batteries, etc. I compost garden waste. I plant apple trees in the spring time. I pick up litter once a week around my community. When I wash my clothes, I don\'t use a dryer, but hang my clothes. I wash the dishes during the day time so I don\'t have to turn on the light. This helps lower my electric bill since I\'m not using electricity. When it is winter or fall, I wear more clothes and turn down the thermostat. This uses less energy and also keeps my electric bill low.
