I composted all my food scraps. I feel I’m doing something at least.

Today I made compost by burying vegetable peels and such in my garden. During winter, the decomposition rate is slow, so I can only do it about once a week. However, today, while separating the trash, I noticed that there's still a lot of plastic waste. To reduce plastic waste, I had tried to find something unpacked but failed, so I have come to the conclusion that simply consuming less is the way to use less plastic. Therefore I will reduce buying things impulsively just because they are cheap.

I used the public transport to go to the market to reduce carbon footprint and carried my own carry bag to reduce the use of plastic bags.

I encouraged my students to keep their surroundings clean and to use less plastic and not to through waste plastic carelessly

When dining out and needing disposable chopsticks, I reduce waste by using the single-use chopsticks that come with delivery meals at home when going out.

I raked fallen leaves and never use power blowers. I can work up a good sweat and leaves make excellent compost.

Today, I caught up with sorting my trash which will help make sure I don’t make last-minute mistakes on trash day.

I created a post yesterday about appreciating our natural environment for my Facebook friends. I’m confident those reading it will be a little more inspired.

Today I used the liquid left over from my daughter's mask pack as a moisturizer. I don't buy any cosmetics or skin care products for myself anymore and use what is available at home, focusing on the function of the products rather than the labels or packaging.

I pack my kids' lunch in all reusable containers everyday.
