07/23Nathalie L@2023missionimpossible The BBC article mentioned in the previous posts made me think of an article I read a few days ago on the topic https://amp.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jul/20/vegan-diet-cuts-environmental-damage-climate-heating-emissions-study. Avoiding dairy has been my biggest challenge as I have always loved cheese (I’m French 😜) and my partner who usually cooks at home adds cheese to every dish (he is Italian from the region of Parmeggiano cheese). I’m excited to challenge myself to eat 2/3 of my meals without dairy for the next 2 weeks and try to go vegan for a full week when I will return home (and will be able to cook my own meals).

07/23Ji-Hyun KIM@2023missionimpossible I never thought of cooking methods have impact on carbon emission before reading "The climate benefits of veganism and vegetarianism". I used to prefer cooking on gas stove but now, I have no choice but use a induction style stove. I guess that's more environment friendly than using a gas stove? There are still so much to learn and I'm excited for learning more! I probably won't be able to turn complete vegan or vegetarian but I will definitely try to reduce my meat consumption and find more yummy plant based recipes. 🙂

07/23JungHa An#2023missionimpossible I found good flowers for bees: https://www.gardendesign.com/flowers/bees.html#flowers. It was a good opportunity for me to learn about bees and related gardening!

07/23like_a_circle K#2023missionimpossible The BBC article "The climate benefits of veganism and vegetarianism" was quite informative and encouraging. I will try to be more mindful of what I eat, how it's cooked, and how much it's consumed and composted. I look forward to contributing to sustainability of this planet! 🙂

07/21Reena RyuI did not throw the water away that washed the rice. I saved it in a couple of containers so that I can use it when I wash the dishes or make a soup.

07/21Jin-Kyong LeeAfter lunch at a restaurant, I packed the leftovers in my reusable container that I carry in my bag. This is not a common behavior in Korea, but I feel good about doing it because it reduces food waste and saves resources as well as my time and energy to prepare another meal.
